The HOMESTEAD OF PERPETUITY is our home in Cape Town, South Africa and is located in a wild fishing town called Hout Bay, flanked by the Atlantic Ocean and the winding serpent beast, Chapman’s Peak drive.
In this magnetic, beautifully esoteric place sits the Deus Homestead of Perpetuity, encompassing all that is Deus, all that drives us and all that we drive. A resident ghost may drift passed you as we appreciate life, the machine, art, beer, boards, and everything in between.
Situated in an old Cape Dutch structure dating back to the 17th century, we celebrate its dusty elegance; a serene old ship with Africa blowing through her sails.
We trade in all that is Deus at the restaurant, serving elegantly crafted local dishes, Café, with its decadent sustenance, Retail Space and Vinyl room. Throw in some live sets from local DJs and sometimes obscure artists, and we are perpetually smiling.
We have three weekly events: Taco Tuesday, Super OK Fridays and Sunday Sessions, reverberating off our yard walls.
Locally shaped boards by Anton Butler create some sticks with the plethora of local, world-class breaks in mind where we worship and sometimes snap our leashes. Gaze out across the bay at Dungeons rolling in across from the Harbour.
