Motobeach Classic 2019
Motobeach Classic
Summer seems to keep sticking around here in California. So in homage to our favorite summer activities, Roland Sands Design threw their annual Motobeach Classic. And our Deus riders showed up aplenty. Our gang of impressive surfers, Max Sieresen, Max Lambert and Kelana Humphrey lead the charge with the early morning surf comp representing the overall winning team of Huntington Beach! Dual rider Kelana Humphrey ran from the beach covered in sand just in time to throw on his moto gear and jump into the special 73 electric bike races and also his moto qualifying race.
Deus builder/racer extraordinaire Woolie was there to rip some eye blurringly fast turns across the sketchy asphalt with his supermoto build. And vintage legend Nick LaPaglia came through on his jealousy arousing 1974 Husqvarna cr250 to race in the Rung What You Brung division. Bringing style and speed to a division full of every single bike imaginable.
The day was full of hot California beaches and even hotter asphalt. The motobeach Classic provided some wheelie scraping Harley’s and tires being roasted in between the races. And to the Oooohs and Aaaahs of the crowd, plenty of crashes were provided during the races as well. To top it all off, there was a mini grom race to end the day. The sun hovered half alive setting over the ocean as people loaded their bikes in trucks and vans The music of Fishbone and Long Beach Dub All Stars could be heard reverberating down the Seal Beach boardwalk bringing a beyond OK day to an end.
