After the incredible industrial area of the Falck, the mythical parabolic curve at Monza to The Reunion and the first edition of Wildays amongst the beautiful hills of the Fornovo area, the Swank Rally celebrated with the "Gran Finale" on Sunday September 17th. It took place at the legendary Fast Cross at Arsago Seprio (Va) no less; the motorcycling temple that hosted the last unforgettable motocross show where the best supercross riders took on the best European riders. This legendary private track owned by the Saporiti family has always been considered one of the most prestigious in the world, and it closed long ago on September 17th 2000, the cut-off year for motorcycles that could take part in Swank this year and, please note, it is even taking place on the same day ... what a "coincidence"!?.
The day was glorious and sunny as per tradition, confirming the legend that the day before the event it rains cats and dogs then turns beautiful, but Deus has connections in the right places…
Many illustrious off-road names, motocross and rally champions (some even from abroad), as well as insiders like our friend Guido Meda (voice of the Motomondiale Moto Gp) who self-commentated at the start (he found it strange himself!) and who presented the various riders who took part in some individual rides within with the Swank Rally formula, in absolute freedom and playing by “gentlemen’s” rules, creating a final ranking that is now familiar to those who follow these Deus events. The final order: Sandro Tramelli, Adelio Lorenzin and Roberto Ungaro.
For the "privileged" guests invited to the event, it was a pleasure to see old competition jerseys; glories such as Claudio Terruzzi, Renato Zocchi, Danilo Monti, Alessandro Gritti, but also Olympic athletes like Marco Aurelio Fontana and Superbike’s Argentinian Chris Cotton Russell.
A special prize went to Juri and Renzo Tiozzo, father and son acrobats (really crazy) on a cross sidecar!

Dopo l’incredibile area industriale delle Falck, la mitica sopraelevata dell’Autodromo di Monza a The Reunion e la prima edizione di Wildays con una navigazione tra le bellissime colline della zona di Fornovo, lo Swank Rally ha festeggiato con il “Gran Finale” domenica 17 settembre “nientepopòdimeno” che al mitico Fast Cross di Arsago Seprio, tempio che ha ospitato l’ultimo indimenticabile show di Motocross internazionale che vedeva i migliori piloti del supercross sfidare i migliori piloti europei; il mitico circuito privato della famiglia Saporiti è sempre stato considerato tra i più prestigiosi del mondo, chiuso nel lontano 17 settembre del 2000, anno limite delle moto ammesse allo Swank e nello stesso giorno... “coincidenze”!?
La giornata come da tradizione è stata bellissima e soleggiata, confermando la leggenda per cui il giorno precedente alla manifestazione piovesse a dirotto, per poi volgere al bello, ma questo Deus ha più che “santi" in paradiso...
Tanti i nomi illustri del fuoristrada, da campioni del motocross a quelli dei rally (alcuni arrivati anche dall’estero) ma anche addetti ai lavori come l'amico Guido Meda (voce del motomondiale Moto Gp) che si è autocommentato al via (era stranito anche lui) e che ha presentato i vari piloti che si sono cimentati in alcuni giri singoli gestiti con la formula dello Swank Rally, in assoluta libertà e con fare da “gentleman”, decretando una classifica ormai nota a chi segue questi eventi Deus, nell'ordine: Sandro Tramelli, Adelio Lorenzin e Roberto Ungaro.
Per i “privilegiati” invitati alla giornata, è stato un piacere rivedere con le loro vecchie maglie da gara, glorie come Claudio Terruzzi, Renato Zocchi, Danilo Monti, Alessandro Gritti, ma anche olimpionici come Marco Aurelio Fontana, e piloti stranieri della Superbike come l’argentino Chris Cotton Russell.
Premio speciale a Juri e Renzo Tiozzo, padre e figlio temerari acrobati (pazzi veri) su un sidecar da cross!
