THE CARBON BLACK XSR700
Here in the House of Simple Pleasure we do exactly that, provide our customers with some of life’s most simple pleasures. If you’re anything like Jeremy you’ll agree that there’s no simpler pleasure than building and riding your own creation – that’s where this carbon fiber tracker kit for the XSR700 makes the task of creating your very own custom bike a cake walk.
With all the hard work done on the MT-07 kit we wanted to see how easily it could be adapted to the XSR700, and to our delight it was fitted with even less modification than the MT-07.
For this kit Jeremy wanted something a little more special so we went back to Greg Kerba at Sydney composite and asked him to make up a shell from Carbon Fiber, which was surprisingly far lighter and stronger. Using basically the same bracketing from Ricci Engineering the body was bolted down securely to the XSR donor.
On the XSR700 a different set of bar raisers and a custom made set of 1 inch handlebars with 7/8 controls made by Jonathan Okada From Kansai Giant was fitted to give the bike a stronger feel and look. Another custom tail was designed by Jeremy using a set of Purpose Built Moto orbital tail lights and dome blinkers sitting on all 4 corners of the bike.
The bark comes courtesy of a full Akrapovic system, and a set of Bridgestone Battlax Adventure Cross shoes Thanks to McLeods Accessories. Again, Dave at Bad Arse Trim Co trimmed the small seat pan with alcantara.
