Boodaak

Transforming one of the winningest Baja racers into a road-worthy, super-single-styled café racer, Boodaak is Woolie's tenth signature build. A moniker derived from the sounds of the engine as you roll on (boooo) and off (daaaak) the throttle, Boodaak is as fun to ride as it is to say. Custom tuned by Jim Wood at Southland Racing, the engine is an HRC Johnny Campbell spec Honda XR650R motor with oversized valves and a Carrillo rod. The bike was designed and built for an experienced rider of smaller build who was looking for a really aggressive, high performance, small-ish bike, making the XR motor the perfect match. Boodaak features a custom chromoly frame and swing arm, and sports a Racetech shock, valved by Jimmy Woods one of the top flat track tuners in the country. Woolie built a big aluminum radiator and the metal and stainless steel work has a forward leaning edge to it with kind of an art deco feel. The seat was designed to feel like an old school Ferrari. A lot of care was taken to shape the dual port exhaust to come around inside the frame from behind the radiator and come out the same side. "The bike is just incredible to ride," says Woolie. "You get on the track and your knee is on the ground immediately. It turns and accelerates and does everything that it should do."
